Why work for Mutual Mobile? We’ve grown from a core 5 people in 2009 to just over 200 at the turn of 2012, and we’re poised to double that figure over the next year. Our client list includes companies like Google, Cisco, and Audi, and your skills will help us add a whole lot more. It’s an exciting time to be in Austin’s tech scene, and we work to keep things interesting.

You’ll help build our complex Android XML layouts with design assets created by our UI/UX team.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

An excellent eye for visual detail and design. Your passion is creating beautiful UI screens.

Understanding of Android UI capabilities. You get what’s possible to express so that the engineer can identify risk early in the project feature’s lifecycle.

Know the appropriate tools. You’ll use Eclipse and the Android emulator/device to vet the screens, and can suggest even more useful alternative approaches and work-arounds.

Desire to work with several small teams. You’ll help build screens for multiple project teams, each consisting of a small group of engineers, so strong communication skills are key.

Display overall programming competency. If you have Java experience, that’s a bonus, as is experience in Adobe Flex and an interest in creating Activity and Adapter classes.

For a shot to join our fast-paced mobile environment, submit examples of your Android design samples, either in-store or mock-ups.
